With temperatures warming up after record-breaking cold over the past few days, snowmelt and rain can lead to flooding in our region.
Frozen ground is unable to absorb water and snow and run-off immediately flows to the storm sewers. Ice can block storm drains and may create street flooding.
If you see street flooding please contact City Hall or the non-emergency police number after hours.
Homeowners should check their sump-pumps to make sure they are in good, working condition.
