FACADE IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
The City of Genoa has recently created a Facade Improvement Program in which buildings in the downtown are eligible to apply for grant funds. The purpose of the program is to enhance the appearance of the commercial buildings located in the Downtown. The program allows a $2,500 to $15,000 matching grant for a tenant or property owner to make facade improvements. The building must be commercial. Examples of eligible improvements include:
- Installation of new windows and doors
- brick cleaning
- shutters
- exterior lighting
- awnings

The City Council will consider grant awards based on application materials and Staff recommendations. If you would like to participate in this reimbursement program, please meet with City Staff to discuss your ideas prior to submitting application materials.
