Public Works Larviciding 5/13

Public Works will be larviciding storm drains throughout the community tomorrow (5/13) from approximately 5:30 AM to 8:30 AM. A larvicide is a type of insecticide used to control mosquitoes indoors and outdoors. They work by killing mosquito larvae before they can grow into adults.

The larvicide was provided by DeKalb County Health Department. In order to avoid encouraging mosquito breeding, please eliminate/maintain standing water where possible. This includes changing birdbath water weekly, maintaining wading pools, stocking ornamental ponds with fish, and turning over buckets, garbage cans, and other containers that may collect water.
