Brush Pickup Begins April 12th

City brush pick-up begins on Monday, April 12th.

-City crews will pick up brush every Monday or the day after if there is a holiday.

-Residents’ brush must be stacked along the curb or road edge to be picked up by City crews.

-Residents stacking brush in the alley need to contact City Hall no later than 8:30 am Monday for pick up.

Please make sure brush is stacked neatly in one direction, not tied, with the cut ends towards the street. The chipper is limited to 4-inch diameter limbs and will not chip Y sections of tree limbs exceeding the 4-inch limit. Please do not leave brush in the street or hanging over the curb.

Brush pickup is not intended for the pickup of tree removal materials.

Yard Waste Pickup Begins April 4/5

Waste Management yard waste pickup begins on Monday/Tuesday, April 5/6 depending on your garbage pickup day.
 
If a resident wishes to get rid of yard waste (including leaves) they can either purchase yard waste bags or they can purchase a 35-gallon garbage can and clearly print ‘yard waste’ on the container.

April 1st Hydrant Flushing

Public Works will be flushing hydrants on Thursday, April 1st in the area below beginning at 8 AM. This may cause discolored water and/or low water pressure. Public Works hopes to have work complete by 12 pm on April 1st.

City Hiring Public Works Director

The Mayor and City Council are seeking a leader to plan, direct, manage and oversee activities, projects, and operations of the Public Works Department including Streets, Water, Sewer, Forestry maintenance, and construction. February Reminders

February Reminders:
Beginning February 1st, City Hall will close from 12 PM to 1 PM for lunch.
City Hall will be closed for Presidents Day on February 15th.
Waste Management will continue their regular pickup days on February 15th/16th.
