The 2024 Community Garage Sales will be taking place July 11th, 12th, and 13th!  To  have your  address  included  on  the  map,  please contact  City  Hall  at  (815) 784-2327.  A list  of  sales  will  be  posted the  week  of  the  sales.

The City of Genoa its Unified Development Ordinance (UDO). This ordinance establishes development regulations in the City of Genoa. A few examples include:

• setbacks 
• zoning types
• signage
• use charts
• lighting

The City of Genoa and local stakeholders will embark on a community-based process that will align Genoa’s development regulations, land-use practices, and community vision with its 2023 Comprehensive Land Use Plan. This updated UDO will help direct Genoa’s future growth and build its economic strength.
